I'm a pround new GranMa.

Arrived in time for Christmas Joy. My 1st grandbaby. Her name is Rayna Joy. She was born in December 8th at 3;39 am . I got to be in the delivery room. OMG. It was wonderful. My daughter did great. What a bundle of Joy in time for Christmas. She weighed 7# 9oz. This was taken about 10 hours after being born. She looks like daddy. Have a great day. I hope to see more of her next week and will give you an update then.

If you haven't heard yet ...it is true. We are having a Quilt tour bus.
October 30th 2010.
Cost is $ 45.00 per person which includes Friends, Fabric, Fun, Fudge, Fare, and a Fun gift from the shop that you start the tour with. You can sign up at one of these 4 fabulous shops . The shop you sign up is the one you will leave with and return to at the end of a great day.

When we have a free moment, between gardening, rain, family, and jobs we are always creating and piecing. To me it is a great stress reliever , to go to my sewing room and see what happens! Memorial Day. Thankyou EW for designing this USA, it will start our summer out with a smile. Hope your summers is great. We have kits ready for you and it won't take long to have it ready for your summer. The stripes will blow in the wind -- ag reat project for the red, white and blue.

This says it all. ! Make your life simple , funny, crazy, beautiful....it is your choice. This kit is 16x30 and going fast. Time is also going very fast. Soon June 1. Soon the NorthDakota Shop Hop across the state. 16 shops will be doing this shop hop. Each person with a passport has a chance at winning. Go for it. We at Comforts of Home will be taking a bus to SOME of the shops. 8 of them. Hop aboard our bus and head to them and the Medora Musical. Yes we still have some openings so call us. You will go to quilt shops in the following towns . Bismarck , Hettinger, Dickinson Beulah , Hazen , Garrison, Velva and Comforts of Home. You will stay over night in Medora and go to the musical. It will be great fun. We leave at 7:30 on June 24 thur and return on June 25 in the evening. So you will have all the other days between June 16 and June 30 to get to the other shops and get your passport stamped. We will also be doing some other things during that time, so we should have fun.

Field Trip

Do you remember going on field trips for school? This isn't a very good picture. Some gals from Bismarck took a field trip to the quilt shop and we had a class and lunch, it was a fun field trip, They all got an A+... This was the latest quilt kit we made up. This measures 28" square. The star blocks measure 3 1/2 sq. It does twinkle. We have kits made up.

ND State Wide Shop Hop in June

This is made from the little twister. Watch for a class coming soon. We have had great fun with this template. Oh we will be heading to Minot for the Prairie Quilt Festival . The show will start at noon on March 19 and end on Sunday at 3pm. We will be vending along with other quilt shops from ND and Minn. hope you can stop by to see us. It is usually a beautiful show with all types and styles of quilts.

Yes, we did get the whole line that goes with the book , "If quilts could Talk". If they could talk have you ever thought of what they would say? Hope to see you soon. We have alot of fun quilts and every quilt hanging in our shop has a kit for you. We are planning a ND shop Hop and I am working on a bus that will be going west to Hettinger, staying in Medora over night , going to the Musicial, and seeing more shops the next day on our way home. If you have never been on a Quilt Bus Run , come now, and those that have we hope you can make it again. Of course I have asked Shelly to be our hostess and we always have a great time with her. HEART and SOUL

Won't this make a great graduation quilt? We used chenilled for the final border and it takes 12 fat qtr. I love fat quarters... I know Rosie also loves fat quarters, Remember she had the Devils Lake shop called Rosies.... I got to see her and Anka the other day. Continue to keep her in your prayers as she battles that cancer.

It may be gray and rainy outside, but you Can sparkle with this new kit we had made up. There is chenilled used for the border. Look at those stars Sparkle. It will take the rainy day away.

Now I know my ABCs

40x58 . WHAT a great ABC strip quilt for a young child boy or girl ....they love bright colors, and they can learn their ABCs. We took 1/2 yd cuts and added to the ABCs. ... of course we had to put lime green minky on the back. Great quilt for the daycare or story time.
